You’re the Reason

You’re the Reason

I'm crackling my head only to scribble a few rhymes
I'm staying wide awake to mind for a few lines
Everything this poetaster is doing,
You're the reason why I keep going.

I'm struggling to stretch a muscle,
Never mind if I broke an ankle
The reason why I want to be the epitome of beauty
Is for you to remember the day you'd meet me.

I'll be fibbing
If I'd say that I'm far from being apprehensive
But you're the reason why I keep on believing
Even if the future is not pellucid.

My feelings for you are in any length but ephemeral
You're the reason I hanker to welcome each day
My faith in you is in any size but infinitesimal;
Because you bring out the best in me.
