The Last Thing I’d Ever Want to be

The Last Thing I’d Ever Want to be

You kept on saying
You can’t take me off your mind
And that you can’t help staring
No matter how hard you try.

I don’t even know what you are to me anymore.
I am not sure whether you’re just a friend or more
For all the kindness I have left within me
Being an antagonist is the last thing I’d ever be.

I’m sorry if I made you baffled
I never meant to do that
I hope you can end the battle
Between your head and heart.

I despise being in this situation again
Days like these make me feel uneasy
I don’t want to color outside the margin
Being a relationship wrecker is the last thing I’d ever be.
