The Cage
This is my world With six corners around Where the sun and the stars stand beside each other, For life and death are best friends forever. I am sleeping with clouds over my bed, And sea creatures glowing up the pool above my head. But the soft fur could devour only the tranquility of their light, While she purrs my lullaby through the night. In this cage, I am a bird of changing hues; With feathers soaked in black ink for rhyming words, A beak washed in pure white for humming melodies; And claws dyed in a rainbow for painting images. In my world, there's no horizon; The furniture keeps strolling in every direction When a broom Gives me a renovated home.
