Just Look Back

Just Look Back

Take a step back and turn around;
Look at my eyes
No one else but you have yet found
Where the brightest star lies.

Others have been searching for so long,
But for you, the light years were abridged;
You've captured your star with just a song,
You gave me a light that couldn't be effaced.

Look at what you've done!
You made my prosaic day a sophisticated one;
I'm getting used to the fervid fun you have at hand,
When you're gone, I'll be standing frozen
 in an arid land.

Now, can I ask you to stay?
I vow to behave in a proton way;
I'll be your guide beginning today;
If only you knew, I'm here with you
from a thousand miles away.
