I’ve Fallen for a High Star

I’ve Fallen for a High Star

Last night, I went out to meet the asteroids,
Telling them my hush-hush, I could not avoid
I would never want my petition become null and void
Then as I talked to my Father
Right under a light-speckled crater,
The pure air blew a fresh shiver.

To Him, I could tell without shame
That I always want to look up to heaven
And reach a glimpse of what I dream
But before I'm done, it fired right above my head;
Star struck as it went on, my wish was late.
I've fallen for a high star and was desperate.
