Enchained Heart

Enchained Heart

Moored on this bamboo board masked with sheets
This yearning heart of mine fidgets
Because on this warm night of October, baker's dozen
I've sensed my feelings frozen.

What shall I do with this other being?
My mind hovers when it comes to him
For when you join my thoughts, I keep musing
You are the only man my sealed heart would let in.

Why would time swift by when I dream of you?
How come when I wake up and wait, the motion is slow?
I wish you know that this small fry that is me
Will be the apple of your hazel eyes, one day, you'll see.

I am a hostage drowned in overflowing love,
But I don't want to be ransomed
For if imprisonment is the mere way to be near you,
Then I would steal your heart and be enchained too.
