Dream Sonnet VI

Dream Sonnet VI

I had another apparition;
This time it was melodramatic,
My pure heart was torn
Right on that passenger seat;
I distinctly heard you say,
You befriended me just because
I was there to stay
As an avid fan of yours;
Teardrops were streaming
Before I could open an eye;
Your words kept echoing,
And I wanted to die;
I never thought you'd break my heart,
So out of your car, I jumped.
