All I Want This Christmas

All I Want This Christmas

Carols begin to ring
Lights start to sing
Presents are being passed around
Yet Santa hasn’t heard what my heart is screaming aloud.

Christmas trees are on display
Foods are served in a wide array
But all I want on this special holiday
Is to see you standing close to me.

Well-wrapped boxes won't make me totally merry
Not even an enormous sum of money;
Being with thee is like dancing with a prince at a royal party,
Thy love alone will be a great bonus beneath my fine-adorned tree.

I wish the stars could send my wish to Santa’s sleigh,
So he would take you on his way to me.
All I want this Yuletide season
Is to smile because you are around.
