A Love With No Face

A Love With No Face

Looking up at the twinkling eyes above my head,
I see you’re not somatic but incorporeal.
I've never laid my eyes on you; nothing is to be depicted,
I even know nothing about the bewildering deal.

You mean all the world to me but slightly dubious
I'm clueless if I should remain or depart;
My darling, you are capricious
You love me but still tear my heart apart.

Ours is a peculiar tale
You are dicey, that's how they understand;
It's conspicuous so I never want to tell
I'd never want to be warned.

What you are is hours and oceans away
A battle between the present and future for you and me.
Yet, I've been loving you for your grace,
Even though you don't have a face.
