Lovesick Rhymes

I gawk at his countenance,
By his beam, my heart
is replete with recalcitrance,
Chiding myself for being goosy
My head rebels but I’m giddy.

Lost in a labyrinth of “what ifs,”
I embrace mirth but not sensing complacent
My bohemian soul is not
Incessantly vivacious
She’s baffled at the world
So humongous.

I’m in the dreg of my day
My grotesque self is grappling with anxiety,
I need no snide physiognomy,
But desire pure equanimity.

He’s my dream that’s not yet true
My gregarious ramification
But he offers blurring innuendo,
If I’m his heart’s gratification.
