Missing You

Missing You

Why do I miss you?
I feel embarrassed by this grief
'cause I waited for a text from you
And I chided myself.

I despise this situation
I can't define
Is this love or infatuation?
I'm coloring outside the line.

I hate how people stare when we're together
But I hate it more when you're not near
For if you can't be reached even when you're here
I realize that you are my heart, dear.

I hope you understand why I'm doing this
Yes, I like you, but it's not enough
Now, we are no longer kids
We should think of something that'll last.
