Remember Why We Are Celebrating This Christmas

The Christmas season is always busy. We prepare much stuff, from planning the food for Noche Buena to buying gifts for our loved ones. Some people travel. Some people host a party.

Due to the full schedule, many of us tend to forget why we are celebrating.

It seems like nowadays, Christmas is just a custom — a day to feast, exchange gifts, and gather friends or family members together.

Some people get drunk at a party on this day which doesn't make it different from any other regular holiday. Instead of going to church, some go to a pub.

However, we should not forget the reason for this event. Jesus Christ was born to die for our sins, and we don't need to do great things. We can simply pray and ponder on the true message of the celebration.

Yes, we should not only thank those people who matter dearly to us. We should also make peace with the people who did us wrong. Maybe, not personally for now, but in our hearts, we can forgive them. This will give us peace of mind.

God forgave and saved us from our sins, so we must do the same. That's the message of Christmas!
